About us

There are no strangers at Green Street Presbyterian Church.

Green Street is a warm and friendly congregation and very welcoming of any and all who seek us out.

We strive to be faithful to the teachings of scripture. We have faith in the truth of Jesus Christ who provides for us today, has provided for us in the past, and will continue to bless and provide for us as we move into the future.

We strive to live by our calling: To worship the Lord; To learn His way; To serve Him daily.

Our Pastor

The Rev. Dr. Donald Patchel (he likes to be called "Patch") is a pastoral minister whose strength is in the pastoral care of the congregation. He has spent the greater part of his ministry working with young people.

Mission is a special passion of Rev. Patchel and the congregation is routinely encouraged to learn more about, and participate in mission experiences of all kind. Rev. Patchel is a gifted preacher whose message reaches people of all ages.

Patch was the director of the New Wilmington Mission Conference for 20 years, along with a staff of 270 , brought “mission” to life for 1,100 – 1,200 conference attendees. He remains committed to mission and to the mission conference. He is the 2010 recipient of the Distinguished Alumnus Award For Excellence in Mission from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.

Patch is an avid reader, loves classical music and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
